Why Families Trust APS in the Water
We organize new types of pool activities. We train by participating in various courses and learning about new trends in swimming lessons. We update our website on regular basis to include more valuable information, e.g. we systematically publish articles on our blog to help parents.

What Makes APS Different
- Strong Foundations
- Clear Learning Progress
- A Pathway Beyond Basic Swimming
A great swimmer is not built in a hurry. That is why our teaching approach focuses on proper foundations, water safety, technique, and steady development.
Our Learn-to-Swim programme follows an 8-station pathway that helps children develop essential aquatic skills, including breath management, body balance, floating, basic water safety, and stroke techniques in front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
Every stage is designed to help swimmers move forward with purpose — not pressure.
APS gives children a structured path to follow, helping them understand what they are learning, why it matters, and how each skill supports the next stage.
From Blowing Bubbles and Kicking to Front Crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Graduation, each station gives swimmers a clear goal to work towards.
After completing the Learn-to-Swim programme, students may continue into Cross Training or explore other aquatic pathways such as competitive swimming, diving, and artistic swimming. APS also provides a pathway towards APSC, the Aquatic Performance Swim Club, for swimmers ready to enter competitive development.
Swimming Pathways for Every Stage of Growth
Whether your child is just starting out, ready to sharpen technique, or showing signs of competitive potential, APS provides structured programmes that support each stage of aquatic development.
First Skills. Big Confidence.
Our 8-station Learn-to-Swim programme helps children build essential water confidence, safety awareness, body balance, breath control, floating ability, and proper stroke technique.
From Blowing Bubbles and Kicking to Front Crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Graduation, each station gives swimmers a clear goal to work towards.
Sharper Strokes. Stronger Swimmers.
Cross-training is ideal for swimmers who have completed the foundation stages and are ready for greater efficiency, stronger technique, improved speed, and distance-based swimming.
The programme also introduces basic swimming rules and gives swimmers exposure to friendly swim meets, helping them understand the rhythm and discipline of competitive swimming.
From Swim School to Swim Club.
APS is aligned with Aquatic Performance Swim Club, a competitive pathway for students ready to take their swimming to the next level. APSC supports swimmers across competitive swimming and also has artistic swimming and diving programmes.
Eligible swimmers may progress from learning fundamentals into a more performance-focused environment, with opportunities to compete at different levels.
More Ways to Grow in the Water.
Beyond the core Learn-to-Swim journey, swimmers may explore other aquatic disciplines such as diving and artistic swimming after building the right foundations.

Clear Steps. Confident Progress.
We put emphasis above all on making our classes interesting, diverse and unique,
and at the same time bringing new swimming skills and personal development.
Every child begins with an evaluation so APS can understand their current ability and recommend the most suitable class level.
Class placement is based on level, availability, and schedule preferences, helping children join a group that matches their learning stage.
Lessons are conducted through a progressive syllabus that helps children build confidence, technique, and water safety step by step.
APS tracks student progress through an electronic platform, giving the learning journey more clarity and structure.
As swimmers grow, they can move through stations, continue into Cross Training, or progress towards competitive pathways when ready.
Swimming is not only a sport. It is a life-preserving skill.

From Learn-to-Swim to Stronger Aquatic Development
APS gives swimmers a clear journey beyond basic water confidence. Children begin with structured foundations, move through station-by-station skill development, and may continue into Cross Training or APSC when ready.
This gives families the benefit of learning under a school that understands both everyday swimming confidence and the standards needed for more advanced aquatic development.
Whether your child is just beginning, improving technique, or preparing for competitive pathways, APS helps make the process clearer, more purposeful, and more exciting.

“Swimming lessons became enjoyable.”
“As we draw to a close for 2024, I’d like to thank your team for running the swim programme. In particular, kudos to Coach Kenneth Seng for the past 4–5 years — his constancy and care beyond the swim coaching helped make swimming lessons enjoyable instead of yet another ‘forced to learn chore’.”
“Their swim skills have reached a far better level.”
“Dedicated coaches. Thank you, Coach Xiaoyun and Fu Long, for teaching my boys. I am very sure their swim skills have reached a far better and solid level because of your dedication.”
